Information For Parents
We at the Student Housing Company we are completely mindful of the responsibility we have towards our residents, which is extended to their parents and guardians. We understand that for many of our residents, this will be their first time away from home and we also recognize the effort made as parents in finding an ideal home for your child’s first independent accommodation.
Your involvement in the picking process is crucial and we intend on giving you all the information we possibly can to have your mind at ease. We want to make your child’s student life comfortable and memorable to our fullest capability and to create an environment that you can trust, feel safe and are comfortable with.
Creating Comfortable Student Accommodation
Since our first student accommodation in 2011 in the UK, we have come a long way in providing purpose-built student accommodation properties. We take pride in our continued and efficient delivery of quality security, and an attention to detail that allows our residents to relax and concentrate on their studies during their time with us. With this experience, we are excited to expand and bring a high level of service to the student community in Australia.
All the rooms and communities are furnished to a high standard. Whether you opt for the studio or a shared residence, there is always plenty of space for our students to study, unwind and have fun.
Bills and Security
At The Student Housing Company, our objective is to put parents’ mind at ease and to make sure students find their home away from home. In order to accomplish this, we take care of several aspects of the renting process by including all bills and internet in our weekly package, as well as offering an onsite maintenance team. In the off chance if there is a problem with your child’s residence, our quick maintenance team will be on hand to fix any problem quickly and cheerfully. We will also happily take delivery of any parcels at our reception desk.
Our main priority is the security, and that is why each of our student residences include 24 hour CCTV, and all of our flats, studios and individual rooms are protected by fob lock entry.
Are we the right home for your child?
We highly recommend that you visit us for a tour and find this out for yourself. Not only will this help ease the your concerns and the move in process, but it will also give you the opportunity to ask us any questions regarding:
- Pastoral care
- The move-in and move-out process

We want both our residents and their parents to recommend us to others. It is in that vein, we try and make everything we do as upfront and transparent as possible.
To achieve all that, we make 5 promises to our students that we hope will give you as their parent or guardian a strong indication of what to expect from The Student Housing Company:
- If things break or go wrong in our buildings, we will endeavor to fix them quickly and cheerfully.
- We will actively seek student involvement in The Student Housing Company through placements, enabling us to ensure that what we provide is shaped by those we work for.
- The people who work in your building have been hired for their integrity, friendliness and willingness to go that bit further.
- We’ll be upfront about all the costs involved when renting with us.
- We know we can’t get everything right all of the time, so we will read and consider all of your suggestions on how to improve our services.
